As is our custom, we acknowledge the generosity, strength, courage and resilience of the Traditional Owners, Families and Custodians of the Country in which First 1000 Days Australia is being developed and implemented. We also acknowledge our implementation partners, associates and students; our funders, sponsors and investors nationally and internationally.
Artwork and logo
The artwork used by First 1000 days Australia was created by Mandy Nicholson, an artist from the Wurundjeri-willam (Woiwurrung language) clan of the Kulin Nation. Primarily a painter, Mandy studied Koorie art and design at RMIT and Monash Universities and has practised visual art since 1994. The stories behind Mandy's designs revolve around nature, animals, stories of her people, personal experience and her two daughters, executed using the traditional motifs blended with contemporary interpretation.
The logo for First 1000 days Australia was designed by Svetlana Andrienko at Studio Elevenses drawing on Mandy's beautiful artwork.
