At the National Coalition on Child Safety and Wellbeing annual meeting, Senator the Hon. Zed Seselja presented on the Department of Social Services Third Action Plan. He outlined the plan's key strategies and how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families would be a focus of activities covered in the plan over the next 12 months. Specifically he spoke of the support being given to the First 1000 Days for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children - funding has been contributed towards an Urban Pilot Preconception Study as part of the First 1000 Days Foundation Project being undertaken by Professor Kerry Arabena.
