The Australian Government has pledged $76.4m over a 10-year period (2012–13 to 2021–22) for programs targeted at improving ear health, including raising awareness of otitis media symptoms and the need for early treatment.
First 1000 Days Australia was represented on the the Northern Territory Early Childhood Development Expert Panel, with Professor Kerry Arabena being named among the internationally renowned experts who gave advice on the Territory’s Early Childhood Development Plan.
The Queensland Government invested $1.5 million over three years (2016–19) to implement First 1000 Days Australia in Townsville and Moreton Bay, thereby showing a commitment to taking a broader approach to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
