Ten years ago, I was in my early forties with two teenaged children. I was consulting from my back shed and writing up a model for a Healing Farm.
Latrobe City Council and Anglicare Victoria have teamed up to deliver the Victorian Government funded First 1000 Days Project.
First 1000 Days Australia was represented on the the Northern Territory Early Childhood Development Expert Panel, with Professor Kerry Arabena being named among the internationally renowned experts who gave advice on the Territory’s Early Childhood Development Plan.
The Queensland Government invested $1.5 million over three years (2016–19) to implement First 1000 Days Australia in Townsville and Moreton Bay, thereby showing a commitment to taking a broader approach to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
We are excited to share with you the recent outcomes of our First 1000 Days Australia (F1000DA) two-day training course in our Evaluation Report. This course brought together professionals from various fields, all dedicated to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families during their child’s critical first 1000 days.
